Privacy Notice — Rokter
How Rokter AS handles personal data on rokter.com. GDPR-aligned. First-party analytics only; no third-party advertising trackers.
Last updated: May 24, 2026
1. Data controller
Rokter AS, organisation number 934 839 005, registered in Narvik, Norway, is the data controller for personal data processed in connection with the rokter.com website (the "Site").
You can reach us at contact@rokter.com.
2. Scope
This notice covers personal data we process through the Site. Rokter operates separate products under their own domains (including ceotxt.com and awebo.no); those products have their own privacy notices that govern data processed in connection with them.
3. Data we process
We aim to collect as little personal data as the Site needs to function. We process the following categories:
- Server and request logs. Standard technical information our hosting provider logs for every request (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, response status). Used to operate and secure the Site.
- First-party analytics. We use our own analytics system to count page views and basic engagement events. A pseudonymous visitor identifier is stored in a first-party cookie on your device and may persist for up to twelve months so we can recognise returning visits. We do not use third-party advertising trackers and we do not sell or share this data with advertisers.
- Contact information you send us. If you email us or submit a form on the Site (including the Studio inquiry form), we process the information you provide so we can respond.
4. Why we process it (legal basis)
- Operating and securing the Site — legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- Measuring engagement with our own first-party analytics — legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). The processing is limited to aggregated usage statistics without third-party tracking.
- Responding to your enquiries — performance of pre-contractual measures at your request or our legitimate interest in operating the business (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)/(f)).
5. Retention
Server logs and analytics events are retained for as long as needed to operate the Site and produce internal reporting, and then deleted or anonymised. The first-party analytics cookie expires up to twelve months after your most recent visit; you can delete it at any time through your browser settings. Enquiries you send us are retained for as long as needed to respond and to keep a reasonable business record of the correspondence.
6. Sharing and sub-processors
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers acting on our behalf to operate the Site — including our hosting and infrastructure providers — and only to the extent necessary for them to do so. Where required, those providers process data under written terms that include appropriate safeguards.
7. International transfers
Our primary processing takes place in the EU/EEA. Where a service provider processes data outside the EU/EEA, we rely on safeguards permitted under the GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@rokter.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In Norway, this is Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.no).
9. Changes
We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
